Prof. (Dr). M. Arockia Babu obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University (TNMGRMU), Chennai in the year October 1997. Then, he appeared in GATE-98 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and qualified with 98.6 percentile (All India rank-35). He moved to Shri.G.S Institute of Technology and Sciences(SGSITS), Indore, he earned his Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry specialization from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore in August 2000 and he received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Pharmacy from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal in November 2006.

He has more than 17 years of experience in teaching and research to his credit. Out of these 17 years, he has worked around eight and half years in foreign universities [International Medical University (IMU), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia & Tobruk University (Formerly-Omar Al Mukthar University, Tobruk Campus), Tobruk, Libya].

He is an advisory member in editorial board of many journals including International journal of Nursing Education & Research, International Journal of Drug Discovery& Medical Research, International Journal of Pharmaceutical Archive, Global Research on Traditional Reports, Journal of Global Pharma Technology, Journal of Scientific Speculations and Research, Universal Journal of Pharmacy etc.

He is a life member of many professional bodies like Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmacy Teachers India (APTI) and Pharmacy Council of India.
